An inspection team from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) led by the Commissioner representing North Central, Prof. Muhammad Umar Ndagi has inspected the Minna Hajj Camp facilities in preparation for the 2026 Hajj airlift, expressing satisfaction with several facilities while noting areas that needed urgent improvements.
The inspection, which was conducted on Monday , 6th , April 2026 focused on critical infrastructure essential for accommodating thousands of pilgrims from the 25 Local Government Areas of Niger State.
The officials were received by the management team of the Board and who conducted them round the facilities and the team commended the spacious accommodation blocks, and effective water supply systems.
However, the team highlighted observations on facilities requiring attention, including minor repairs on the perimeter fence, camp’s security setup, that are vital to ensure pilgrims comfort and safety during the airlift,” they stated.
In his remark, the Director Administration of the Board, Malam Ado Bello who led the management of the Board, assured that all observations were noted for prompt action.
He appreciated the NAHCON team for the visit and guidance towards the efforts to ensure that standardized Hajj camp was put in place ahead of the 2026 Hajj Airlift expected to commence next month.
It could be recalled that Minna Hajj camp has been a key hub since 2015 and handled successful operations in previous years and played a pivotal role in Hajj operations.
