The gubernatorial aspirations of the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Shehu Buba Umar, got a boost as Members of the Contact and Mobilization Committee of Shehu Buba Umar for Governor 2027, have contributed the sum of N50m for the purchase of nomination form for him.
The announcement was made by Chairman of the Committee, Alh Muhammadu Sade, during a Press conference held at the Conference Hall of NUJ, on Monday.
Speaking through the Secretary of the Committee, Barr Mukhtar Abubakar, Muhammadu Sade explained that, “This is a press conference convened by the Shehu Buba 2027 Contact and Mobilization for Governorship to address the press and tell the whole world that, we, the members of this committee, and many more supporters of Senator Shehu Buba, have resolved to show our unwavering support for his ambition to vie for the office of the Governor of Botchy State in the 2027 general elections.”
He added that,”We welcome you all to this important press conference convened by the major stakeholders of All Progressive Congress Bauchi. Today marks a significant moment in our collective political journey, in our unwavering commitment to the progress, unity and development of Bauchi State.”
According to him,”After wide consultations, careful deliberations and thorough assessment of the current political landscape, we, the stakeholders of APC Bauchi State, have unanimously resolved to support and present a credible, competent and people-oriented aspirant for the governorship of Bauchi State in the forthcoming elections.”
He added that,”In furtherance of this resolution, we are pleased to be formally informed the public that, collectively we have raised a sum of N50million for the purchase of the APC governorship nomination form for our distinguished son and leader, Senator Shehu Buba Umar.”
He further explained that,”This gesture is not merely financial; it is symbolic. It represents our total confidence in his leadership capacity, his proven track records, his accessibility to the grassroots, and his unwavering dedication to the welfare of our people.”
The Chairman added tat,”Senator Shehu Buba Umar has, over the years, demonstrated exemplary leadership, legislative competence, and a deep understanding of the challenges facing Bauchi State. His vision for a more prosperous, secure, and united Bauchi State aligns perfectly with the aspiration of our people.”
“Our decision is also rooted in the need to reposition our dear State for sustainable development, economic growth, improved infrastructure, quality education, enhanced healthcare delivery, and inclusive governance,” he added.
According to him, “We believe that with Senator Shehu Buba Umar at the helm of affairs, Bauchi State will witness purposeful leadership driven by integrity, accountability, and a genuine passion for service..”
Muhammadu Sade stressed that, “We therefore call on all members of the APC across the State, party leaders, stakeholders, youths, men, and support groups, and indeed all well-meaning citizens of Bauchi State, to rally around this noble cause and give their full support to Senator Shehu Buba Umar in the forthcoming party primaries and the general election. We also use this opportunity to assure the leadership of our great party that this decision was reached through a transparent, inclusive, and democratic process, reflecting the true wishes of the people of Bauchi.”
