The attention of “Atiku Is For The People” global movement, has on Wednesday, been drawn to the freezing of the entire Osun State Government’s Bank Account domiciled with First Bank of Nigeria, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, just 10 days to the August 15, Governorship election in the State.
What we are witnessing in Osun State, is not law enforcement. It is spiritual and political assassination.
10 days to the August 15, Governorship election, the EFCC under the leadership of Ola Olukoyede, has gone ahead to freeze the entire Osun State Government Bank Account. Salaries of Teachers will not be paid. Drugs in Hospitals will not be bought. Pensioners will go hungry. All because the All Progressives Congress, APC, is afraid of a free and fair election.
Moreover, the man (Mr. Olukoyede) signing off on this wickedness is a Pastor. A Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Mr. Olukoyede, we ask you with all the weight this moment deserves: Since when did the pulpit become a place to recruit assassins of democracy? Since when did carrying a Bible become a license to crucify 4.7 million people?
You stood before God and the congregation, and took vows to defend the weak. Today, you are using that same Office to strangle the weak in Osun State. You are using the EFCC to do what thugs could not do. You are using Federal power to do what votes cannot achieve.
This cannot happen without the backing of your Political Master, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The silence from the APC Leadership is an endorsement of this anti-democratic move. Where was this EFCC zeal when Ekiti State voted in June? Where were these emergency powers when APC States were spending billions of naira? The silence then and the violence now, tells every Nigerian the truth. The EFCC is no longer a Commission. It is a Campaign Centre with handcuffs for President Tinubu and the APC to use at will for the opposition.
The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, warned you. He said that you were coming to cripple the government. You have now fulfilled his prophecy. However, let it be known to you and your Political Masters in the Presidency and at the APC Secretariat: You cannot freeze the will of the people of Osun State. You can freeze a Bank Account, but you cannot freeze hunger for good governance. You can delay salaries, but you cannot delay August 15 and the will of the people.
Mr. Olukoyede, the Bible you preach from, says that a false balance is an abomination to the Lord. What you have done in Osun State is a false balance. It is an abomination. You cannot be in the Church on Sunday, talking about righteousness, and on Wednesday, use the EFCC to commit unrighteousness against an entire State. God cannot be mocked.
If your conscience is still alive, unfreeze the Osun State Bank Account now. If your calling as a Redeemed Pastor still means anything to you, resign as Chairman of the EFCC now. You cannot serve God and serve political intimidation for President Tinubu and the APC, at the same time.

To the people of Osun State, do not be afraid. Come out on August 15, and vote and defend your votes. No frozen Bank Account can freeze your PVC.
The world is watching. God is watching. And history will record that in 2026, a Pastor chaired the EFCC, and used it to fight the Osun State Governorship election for President Tinubu and the APC, instead of fighting economic and financial crimes.
