A renowned philanthropist, businessman and traditional title holder, Alhaji Ahmed Bulama Hassan, popularly known as Dujuman Pindiga and Managing Director/CEO of Northern Star Medicals Ltd, has declared his support for the governorship ambition of Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna, the Sardaunan Gombe.
Dujuman Pindiga made his position known during a solidarity visit to Dr. Gwamna at his residence in Abuja, where the two held discussions on the unity, development and political future of Gombe State.
The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the mutual respect between the two figures and their shared interest in the progress and development of the state.
Speaking after the meeting, Dujuman Pindiga said he had decided to commit his political support, network and resources to the emergence of Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna as the successor to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the 2027 governorship election.
He explained that his decision was based on what he described as a careful assessment of Dr. Gwamna’s leadership qualities, experience, character and record of service, rather than sentiment.
According to him, the Sardaunan Gombe possesses qualities such as humility, integrity, compassion and a strong connection with people at the grassroots.
“I have known Sardaunan Gombe for many years. He is humble, God-fearing, accessible and deeply connected to the grassroots. His generosity cuts across all divides, while his commitment to empowering youths, women and the less privileged is exceptional.
“These are the qualities Gombe needs to sustain the achievements and legacies of the present administration of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.”
The Northern Star Medicals chief executive further pointed to Dr. Gwamna’s experience in both the private and public sectors, as well as his broad network and cosmopolitan outlook, saying these qualities could help consolidate and build upon the achievements of the current administration.
Dujuman Pindiga also reaffirmed his support for Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, whom he commended for what he described as significant developments in healthcare, education, road infrastructure, industrialisation and human capital development.
He said his support for Dr. Gwamna was intended to promote continuity in the implementation of ongoing development projects and programmes in the state.
“We remain loyal to our leader,Governor Inuwa Yahaya,his developmental strides in Gombe State are visible. Our support for Sardauna is aimed at ensuring continuity in these laudable projects and preventing any reversal of progress.”
He also reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Inuwa Yahaya and APC candidates across the various levels of government in the forthcoming elections.
On the federal administration, Dujuman Pindiga commended President Tinubu’s economic reforms and Renewed Hope Agenda, arguing that the policies, despite the challenges associated with their implementation, are beginning to produce results in areas including economic stabilisation, infrastructure and national development.
Responding, Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna expressed appreciation to Dujuman Pindiga for the visit and for the confidence placed in him.
He described Dujuman Pindiga as a brother, a committed member of the party and an emerging source of support for young people across Gombe State.
Dr. Gwamna pledged that, if given the opportunity to serve, he would pursue an inclusive, transparent and people-oriented administration focused on healthcare, education, agriculture, employment creation and unity among the various communities in Gombe State.
He said his proposed administration would be guided by the development vision associated with the administrations of Governor Inuwa Yahaya and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
