No fewer than 1,500 Gombe State indigenes working with Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) have endorsed Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
The endorsement was contained in a press statement signed by Ibrahim Shawai, Media Aide to the APC governorship candidate in Gombe State, and made available to journalists on Sunday.
Shawai said the staff declared their support during a solidarity gathering organised to appreciate Dr. Gwamna and support his governorship ambition.
According to him, the staff expressed gratitude to Gwamna for helping many Gombe indigenes secure jobs at KEDCO during his time with the company.
He said the workers described the opportunity as life-changing for them, their families, and their communities.
Shawai added that the staff also praised Gwamna’s leadership qualities and pledged their full support for his victory in the 2027 election.
He said Gwamna, who attended the event, thanked the workers for their support and expressed happiness that many beneficiaries of the employment opportunities had risen to senior positions within the company.
Gwamna also reaffirmed his commitment to job creation, youth empowerment, and sustainable development if elected governor.
