The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has extended warm new year greetings to the people of Niger State, describing the dawn of 2026 as a moment of renewed hope, reflection and collective resolve to deepen the State’s development trajectory.
Alhaji Usman noted that the new year presents a critical opportunity for government and citizens alike to consolidate gains recorded in previous years while confronting emerging challenges with renewed determination and shared responsibility.
According to him, “the administration of governor Mohammed Umaru Bago remains unwavering in its commitment to delivering on its promises and advancing policies that improve the welfare of all residents of the State”.
The SSG further asserted that 2026 will be driven by people-focused governance anchored on transparency, accountability and inclusive growth. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to promote sustainable economic diversification, accelerate infrastructural development and strengthen social services across the State.
He stressed that a secure and stable Niger State remains fundamental to economic growth and social cohesion, assuring citizens that Government will continue to work closely with security agencies and community stakeholders to safeguard lives and property.
The SSG called on all Nigerlites to embrace unity, peace and cooperation, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved through collective effort and active citizen participation.
