NOA Bauchi gets new Acting  Director as Adamu Umar Sarkinyara assumes duty

The National Orientation Agency, (NOA), Bauchi State Directorate has announced the appointment of Mr. Adamu Umar Sarkinyara as the Acting State Director.
Adamu Sarkinyara, a seasoned administrator, professional accountant, and development strategist, brings over 25 years of public service experience to the role.
Until his appointment, he was serving as Deputy Director in the Bauchi State Directorate of NOA following his promotion in 2022.
The new Ag State Director is highly qualified academically as he holds a M.Sc. in Entrepreneurship from the National Open University of Nigeria (2024), a Master of Entrepreneurship and Business Development, MEBD from ATBU Bauchi, and an MBA in Finance from ATBU Bauchi.
He also bagged a B.Sc. in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1995, and holds professional certifications including, CFIA and Advanced Financial Management (afm) from ASCON, and ANAN.
He is also a Justice of the Peace, JP, and holds the traditional title of Danmasanin Wajan Bauchi.
His career trajectory reflects steady growth in public finance and administration. He was appointed Accounts Officer II on 1st August, 2000 and rose through the ranks to become Senior Accountant in 2007, Principal Accountant in 2010, Chief Accountant in 2016, HOD Finance and Accounts in 2018, Assistant Director Finance in 2019, and Deputy Director in 2023.
Prior to joining the Federal Civil Service, he served as Senior Legislative Aide at the National Assembly, Abuja (1999-2000), Area Sales Accountant at A.C.O Ventures, Abuja (1996-1999), and Budget and Planning Officer at Akinyele LGA, Oyo State during his NYSC in 1995.
Adamu Sarkinyara is also a researcher with several academic publications to his name. His papers include studies on  “Entrepreneurial Development and Small Scale Businesses”,
“Impact of Information Technology Investment on Service Industry Performance”,  “Assessment of Financial Inclusion” and
“Crowdfunding Awareness in Bauchi State, published in reputable journals between 2018 and 2020.(Bingham University, Nassaraw State University, etc)
He has attended numerous professional courses including *Advanced Financial Management at ASCON Lagos (2017)*, *Project Management, Conflict Resolution, and Logistics Training (2023)*, *International Executive Diploma in Organizational Management (2025)*, and various *UNDP trainings on IPSAS and Financial Control*.
He also served as *Master Trainer for the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the GEEP programme*.
Beyond government service, Mr. Sarkinyara is an entrepreneur and consultant. He is *MD/CEO of Mega Farm Solutions Limited*, *National Chairman of Nagari Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd*, and *Chairman of the Agriculture Digitalization Training Institute* among others.
He is deeply involved in community development and was conferred with the traditional title of *Danmasanin Wajan Bauchi in 2018*. He has also served as *Adviser to the Chief of Waja Bauchi on Development* and held various leadership positions in Waja student and community associations.
Speaking on his appointment, stakeholders described Mr. Sarkinyara as a round peg in a round hole whose blend of accounting expertise, entrepreneurship, and social mobilization will strengthen NOA’s mandate of value reorientation and civic engagement in Bauchi State.
