The Secretary to the Niger State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has been honoured with a Certificate and Award of Excellence by the Coalition for Good Development (CGD) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to governance, public service delivery and intergovernmental coordination in the State.
The award, presented under the theme: “Moving Humanity Forward,” acknowledges the SSG’s exceptional leadership, dedication and unwavering commitment to the ideals of transparency, accountability and effective policy implementation since assuming office as Secretary to the Government of Niger State.
According to the Coalition for Good Development, the honour was conferred in appreciation of Alhaji Usman’s strategic role in maintaining a high level of intergovernmental relations, managing cabinet affairs efficiently, strengthening security intelligence coordination and consistently monitoring government performance to ensure the realization of the developmental objectives of the present administration.
The Coalition further noted that the SSG’s strong analytical abilities, strategic thinking and capacity for complex problem-solving have continued to enhance effective governance, foster institutional accountability and reinforce public confidence in government processes.
His steadfast adherence to values of integrity, discipline and commitment has also positioned the Office of the SSG as a critical engine room of governance in the State.
While receiving the recognition, Alhaji Abubakar Usman expressed appreciation to the Coalition for Good Development for the honour, describing it as a collective recognition of the efforts of the entire Niger State Government under the visionary leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Governor’s New Niger Agenda and to sustaining policies and reforms aimed at delivering inclusive development and improved service delivery to the people of the State.
The SSG dedicated the award to the people of the State, hardworking staff of the Office of the Secretary to the government of Niger State and all public servants whose dedication continues to drive the administration’s developmental strides.
The Coalition for Good Development stated that the award serves not only as a personal milestone for the SSG but also as a source of inspiration to public office holders to uphold excellence, professionalism and selfless service in the discharge of their responsibilities.
