Niger State Police Command has informed members of the public that in commemoration of the year 2026 National Police Day, the Command will be organizing environmental sanitation across all the Police Divisions’ communities in the State on Monday 30th March 2026 as part of the activities lined-up for this year’s celebration, with the theme: Community Partnership, Building Trust.
Similarly, the Police Medical Service of the Command will also carry out medical outreach, focusing on vulnerable groups around Angwan-Daji, Angwan-Sarki and Limawa areas of Minna, as well as other persons who could be available for medical attention on the same Monday 30th March 2026 from 7am-5pm.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun stated this in a Press statement issued and made available to Journalists on Thursday in Minna
The statement added that Other activities include a Walkathon by Police personnel on Tuesday 31st March 2026, while on Wednesday 1st April 2026, there will be public sensitization on electoral offences and safe driving approach across the Divisions.
According to S P. Wasiu Abiodun, on Thursday 2nd April 2026, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, mnips will present welfare cheques to beneficiaries and families of deceased Police personnel in the Command in honour of the personnel who lost their lives in active duty.
The statement further explained that the celebration will be concluded with a grand finale, featuring a ceremonial parade at the Eagle Square Abuja on Tuesday 7th April, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command urges members of the public to actively participate and cooperate with the Police during these activities, in line with the theme of this year’s celebration, “Community Partnership; Building Trust” which means “together we can fight crime”.
