Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State, has sent his congratulatory message to the Chairperson of Agwara Local Government Council and chairman of the Niger State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Alhaji Iliyasu Zakari, on his emergence as the acting President of the Association.
In a message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor said the elevation is well-earned.
He noted that the emergence of Alh. Zakari is a testament to his hard work and commitment to grassroots development.
The Governor added that the ALGON acting President has proven to be a competent leader based on how he has hitherto managed the affairs of his local government and the state chapter of ALGON.
He expressed confidence that Alhaji Zakari’s leadership as the ALGON acting president will reposition the association for greater impacts on its members in particular and the society at large.
He then enjoined the acting president to continue to be a good ambassador of Niger State by providing unprecedented leadership at the highest level of ALGON while assuring him of his continuous support to ensure success.
