Pressure has continue to be mounted on the need for the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof Mohammed Ali Pate, to declare interest on contesting the Bauchi State gubernatorial ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.
Various people, individuals and groups coordinated by Pate Youths Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI), have reignited their calls on the Minister to resign his appointment and come back to Bauchi to aspire for the ticket.

Director General, Pate Youth Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI), stated that numerous youths, women, elders, farmers, traders, students, and patriotic citizens across Bauchi State, have proudly expressed the growing desire to see Professor Muhammad Ali Pate emerged as the next Governor of Bauchi State.
According to him, “Across the length and breadth of our dear state, from towns to villages and communities, one message continues to resonate strongly among the people: Bauchi State needs purposeful leadership, visionary governance, and a leader with proven capacity to deliver meaningful development.”
He added that,”Many citizens believe that Professor Muhammad Ali Pate represents that leadership. This widespread support is not based on emotions alone. It is rooted in his remarkable record of service, competence, integrity, and dedication to humanity.”
He added that,”Professor Pate has distinguished himself both nationally and internationally through excellence in public service, policy reforms, administration, and human capital development.”
“The people of Bauchi State strongly believe that a man who has served Nigeria and the global community with honor, wisdom, and measurable impact possesses the experience and ability to transform Bauchi State into a model of progress and prosperity,” .
He stressed that,”Furthermore, the youths of Bauchi State especially see in Professor Pate a symbol of hope and opportunity. At a time when young people are seeking employment, quality education, skills acquisition, innovation, and a brighter future, they believe his leadership will unlock the vast potential of the state and create pathways for success for the next generation.”
Mohammed Sani Hassan added that,”To many ordinary citizens, Professor Pate is admired for his humility, simplicity, and compassion. He is seen as a leader who understands the struggles of the common man—the farmer in need of support, the mother praying for quality healthcare, the graduate searching for work, the trader seeking economic growth, and communities yearning for roads, water, electricity, and security.”
The PYI DG added that, “We also wish to state clearly that all those who love and support Professor Muhammad Ali Pate are true lovers of Bauchi State.”
According to him, “They are citizens who genuinely desire peace, unity, progress, and sustainable development for our state. Their support is driven by the sincere belief that Bauchi deserves transformational leadership that will uplift every family and every community.”
He added that,”Bauchi State is richly blessed with fertile land, hardworking people, vibrant culture, and abundant opportunities. What has long been required is strategic leadership capable of converting these blessings into shared prosperity. Many believe Professor Pate has the vision, exposure, competence, and strategic mindset needed to reposition Bauchi State for greatness.”
He further stated that,”This growing support for Professor Muhammad Ali Pate is more than politics—it is a movement of hope. It is the voice of a generation demanding better governance. It is the prayer of parents who seek a brighter future for their children. It is the dream of communities that want development to reach every corner of the state.”
“We also passionately appeal to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to support Professor Muhammad Ali Pate for the governorship of Bauchi State. Bauchi State needs Professor Muhammad Ali Pate most at this critical time in our history.”
According to him,”His leadership capacity, experience, and popularity make him the right choice to lead the state into a new era of development.
Furthermore, if the All Progressives Congress (APC) truly desires to win the governorship election in Bauchi State, then Professor Muhammad Ali Pate should be entrusted with the party’s governorship ticket.”
He stressed that,”Many political observers and citizens believe he remains the most widely accepted aspirant, with stronger grassroots support than any other contender across party lines.”
“Professor Muhammad Ali Pate is also widely recognized for having one of the strongest youth support structures across Bauchi State. This energetic and committed network of supporters is ready not only to deliver victory in the state governorship election but also to mobilize massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition,” he added.
The PYI DG stressed that,”We also strongly believe that Professor Muhammad Ali Pate is the only aspirant capable of fully uniting the Bauchi State APC if given the governorship ticket. This is because he enjoys a cordial relationship with fellow aspirants, party executives, key stakeholders, community leaders, and supporters across the state. His spirit of inclusion, maturity, and respect for all interests makes him the bridge-builder Bauchi APC needs for unity and victory.”
He explained that the choice of leadership determines the destiny of a people. For many youths and masses in Bauchi State, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate represents competence over promises, service over slogans, and results over rhetoric.
He concluded that, “The people are ready. The youths are inspired. The masses are hopeful. And the message is clear: Bauchi State deserves the best, and many believe that best is Professor Muhammad Ali Pate,” as contained in a statement jointly signed by Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan, Director General Pate Youth Ambassadors Initiatives (PYI) and Secretary, Usman Mujaddadi.
