The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State has issued a firm warning to critics and internal opponents following the emergence of a new leadership team at its recent state congress.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Nathe Kirya, Head of the ADC Media Directorate in Gombe, and made available to newsmen on Friday.
Kirya said that with Keftin Amuga serving as State Chairman and Ahmad Gana as State Secretary, the party is entering a new phase of unity and strength.
“With the backing of our leader, Abdullahi Idris, our party, ADC, will not tolerate any attempts to divide its ranks,” he said.
He added that party officials described the congress, which was supervised by Kassim Geidam, as transparent and credible, despite what they called attempts by detractors to disrupt the process.
According to him, the outcome reflects the true will of party members across all 114 wards.
“Any individuals or groups trying to create factions or cause confusion within the party will fail. We remain united under one command.
“This party is no longer open to manipulation. Those trying to cause division should know their efforts are pointless,” he added.
Kirya said the new leadership also outlined its plans, including improving transparency, building a strong membership base, supporting ordinary citizens, and advocating tougher action against insecurity.
