Three traditional institutions in Gombe South Senatorial District have received air conditioners and generators donated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate, Honourable Jerry Joseph Damara, in a gesture aimed at improving the comfort of royal fathers and visitors to their palaces.
The beneficiaries of the donation are the Bala Waja, Alhaji Mohammed Danjuma Mohammed; the Nidugrah Cham, Dr. James Chachis; and the Folo Dadiya, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abubakar Galadima.
Each palace received four standing air conditioners and a generator capable of powering the units during electricity outages.
Presenting the items on behalf of Honourable Jerry Joseph Damara, a delegation led by the former Chairman of Balanga Local Government Area, Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim, said the donation was in recognition of the important role traditional rulers play in promoting peace, unity and development within their communities.
At the palace of the Bala Waja, Alhaji Mohammed Danjuma expressed appreciation for the donation, describing it as timely and beneficial to the palace, which regularly hosts large numbers of visitors.
Also the Nidugrah Cham, Dr. James Chachis, commended the gesture and noted that the donation would greatly improve conditions within the palace.
He described Honourable Damara as a leader who remains committed to supporting community development initiatives.
The Folo Dadiya, Alhaji Abdulkadir Galadima, also thanked the APC senatorial candidate for the donation and prayed for God’s guidance and success in his future endeavours.
The delegation assured the traditional rulers that arrangements had also been made for the regular maintenance and servicing of the air conditioners and generators.
Among those who accompanied the delegation were the APC Zonal Chairman, Mr. Solomon Tosal Member representing Balanga North in the Gombe State House of Assembly, Honourable Musa Buba; Member representing Shongom Constituency, Honourable Zubairu Ayala; Honourable Samaila Baba; Mr. Peter Manjuk; and Honourable Samuel Markus, Personal Assistant to Honourable Jerry Joseph Damara.
