People of Misau-Dambam Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, have been assured of effective and quality representation which will lead to growth and development of the area within a shortesr possible time from 2027.
The assurance was given by the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2027 general elections, Hon. Sulaiman Bashir Jalam, while addressing his supporters and other residents in Misau on Sunday.
According to him, inclusive representation with focus on middle income earners as well as curbing insecurity ravaging the country would be his primary priority in order to make them a thing of the past,
He was speaking shortly after a rousing welcome he received from the party officials and the people of Misau and environs, as part of his familiarization tour with teaming electorates in the area ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bashir Jalam, shortly after his arrival to the venue, which coincided with a friendly football match between Misau United FC and Olympiacos FC, was honoured by the organizers, as the special guest during the match which ended at 1-1 draw between the two teams.
After the friendly match, the candidate promised to address unemployment through sports development throughout his constituency if elected come 2027 elections as House of Representative member.
Ha also acknowledged the contribution of youths and women in every election cycle in the country, reminding them that they have a role to play in his vision to be one of a Federal Lawmaker from the area.
He further promised that his representation would change the narrative in addressing youths restiveness through purposeful representation at the national level as he will encourage youths to be at the driving seat of economy in the area of education, empowerment and skills acquisition as part of efforts to address insecurity as well.
According to him, “We started this journey with the prayers to deliver on our promises, when the actual campaigns would begin.”
He added that, “I was confronted with the challenges faced by local sports administration and the Misau township stadium here in Misau, I promise to address the matter urgently if elected by God’s grace.”
“I thank you most sincerely for the support and encouragement for this gathering. I saw this as a huge testimony that people of Misau needs change of representation in the Green Chamber in the 2027 elections, my agenda is youths because am a youth too because you are always in the forefront,” he added.
He further said that, “I also thank the Executive Committee of the NDC from the state down to the ward levels, this is memorable moment in my life”
In his remarks, the State NDC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Maigari called on all people of Misau to change those currently in power in the 2027 general elections, vote for the right party with quality candidates and focus on man like Bashir Jalam as a youth.
He stressed that, “The bid event ahead of us is fast approaching where we will all gather as one family. By God’s grace, NDC will win all elective positions in the zone.”
Other stakeholders who spoke commended the candidate for his conference saying that it will boost the party’s chances of acceptance by the voters across the area.
