The Secretary to the Niger State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, on Saturday witnessed the wedding fatiha of his son, Musa Abubakar Usman, to Aishatu Shehu Aliyu amidst family members, friends, associates and other well-wishers.
The wedding fatiha was held at the Palace of the Emir of Yauri, His Royal Highness, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, in Yauri, Kebbi State, and attracted a mammoth gathering of dignitaries and guests from different walks of life.
The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, stood in as the father figure for the groom and formally sought the hand of Aishatu Shehu Aliyu in marriage on behalf of Musa Abubakar Usman.
The marriage ceremony was presided over by renowned Islamic scholar, Malam Umaru Namalam Tsoho, who solemnized the union after the payment of a bride price of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (₦300,000) by the groom’s representatives.
The SSG advised the newly married couple to make the fear of Allah, love, patience and mutual respect the foundation of their marriage.
He urged them to remain supportive of one another through every phase of life, embrace dialogue in resolving differences, and uphold the values and virtues instilled in them by their families.
Alhaji Abubakar Usman prayed that Almighty Allah bless the union with enduring peace, abundant prosperity, good health and righteous offspring, while making their home a source of joy and inspiration to others.
In his admonition, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji urged the newly married couple to build their home on mutual trust, understanding and the fear of Allah, while advising them not to allow unnecessary third-party interference in their marital journey.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to bless them with a peaceful, prosperous and enduring marriage, and to grant them righteous and God-fearing children.
The ceremony was attended by top government officials and prominent personalities, including the Head of Service, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Idris, the Chief of Staff to the Niger State Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Usman Gbatamangi, members of the State Executive Council, including the Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Private Sector Development, Alhaji Aminu Suleiman Takuma, Permanent Secretaries, including the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Dr. Muhammad Muhammad Makusidi, and the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, ESV James T. Tsado, Coordinators, traditional rulers, political leaders, and other distinguished guests.
Meanwhile, after the wedding ceremony, the Secretary to the Niger State Government , alongside the Chief of Staff to the Governor and other top government officials, paid a condolence visit to the family of late Alhaji Umar Bala Kontagora, Coordinator on Vehicle Insurance in Kontagora, where prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and for Allah to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
