Niger State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers with three plastic pistols while Sixteen ATM Cards were recovered.
This is contained in a Crime bulletin issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun and made available to Journalists on Tuesday in Munna.
The statement contained that on 14th July 2026 at about 11pm, Police surveillance patrol team attached to Tudun-Wada Division arrested two suspects: Zaradeen Sani 19 years, of Bosso and Yakubu Abdullahi 20 years, of Maitumbi, Minna.
The statement further contained that the two suspects were arrested in a tricycle along M.I Wushishi Estate junction and when searched, the following exhibits were recovered: Three plastic pistols,and Sixteen expired ATM cards of different banks
SP Abiodun noted that “During interrogation, the suspects claimed that the cards were found on the ground during their scavenging activities in Lagos.”
He however, explained that they are strongly suspected to be robbing victims along M.I Wushishi Estate with the toy guns.
The Spokesman of the State Police Command assured that further investigation is ongoing.
Also, the Command arrested Five thuggery suspects with dangerous weapons and suspected cannabis.
It stated this in a Press statement issued by the Spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun.
The statement contained that on 20th July 2026 at about 5am, Police operatives of Tudun-Wada Division conducted a sting operation around Sabon-Titi area of Tunga Minna and five suspected notorious miscreants were arrested.
They are: Shamsudeen Khalid 18 years,
Danjuma Abubakar 19 years, Aminu Usman 17 years, Lukman Imam 19 years,and Ibrahim Abubakar 19 years, all of Sabon-Titi area, Tunga Minna.
He added that when searched, exhibits recovered included a bag containing suspected cannabis, two knives, three cutlasses and two other dangerous weapons .
During interrogation, the suspects claimed that the items were arranged for Maulud celebration and they usually engaged in a fight with Tunga-Maje boys in the area.
SP Abiodun assured that all suspects are under further investigation.
