The Secretary to Niger State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in the State and across Nigeria on the joyous occasion of Eid el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The SSG in his message described Eid el-Fitr as a moment of gratitude to Almighty God for granting the faithful the strength, patience and spiritual renewal required to observe the Ramadan fast.
Alhaji Usman noted that the period of Ramadan is not only one of abstinence from food and drink but also a time for deep reflection, compassion and devotion to the teachings of Islam.
He urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of piety, discipline, sacrifice and generosity cultivated during Ramadan, emphasizing that these values are essential for building a peaceful, progressive and united society. The Scribe called on the faithful to continue to promote love, tolerance and mutual understanding among all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.
The SSG also encouraged Nigerlites to use the festive period to strengthen family and community bonds, extend acts of kindness to the less privileged and pray for the continued peace, stability and development of the State and the nation at large.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the State Government under the leadership of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, to policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people and fostering inclusive growth across all sectors.
The SSG prayed that Almighty God accepts the prayers, fasting and good deeds of all Muslims and grants continued peace, prosperity and unity to Niger State and Nigeria in general.
