The Kagara Emirate Council has played host the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, as the Council organized a mini durbar in his( the Governor’s)  honour to mark the successful end of this year’s Ramadan fast and to show solidarity to the Governor.

The Emir of Kagara, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II, in conjunction with his traditional title holders mounted their horses to lead a colourful procession through the major road of the town.
Governor Umaru Bago, who was obviously elated by the show of love and admiration by the massive turnout of residents, joined the procession.
Various cultural displays also added colour and glamour to the brief event, which has hitherto been suspended due to heightened activities of terrorists in the Emirate.
The 2026 mini Durbar in Kagara Emirate which showcased horsemanship, speaks volumes of the relative peace that has been achieved in the Emirate.
Some residents of Kagara expressed their joy and appreciation to the State governor for his tireless efforts aimed at protecting lives and properties  and prayed for sustained peace in not only the emirate but also the state and the  country as a whole.
