FRSC reaffirms commitment to providing services meeting Nigerians’ expectations, maintain high professionalism standards

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has reaffirm its commitment to providing services that meet the expectations of the Nigerian public while naintaining the highest standards of professionalism in ensuring a safer road.

The assertion was made by the Zonal Commanding Officer (ZCO), Zone RS12HQ, Bauchi, ACM Leye Adegboyega, during the stakeholders forum of the 2026 International Customers’ Week Celebration with the theme: “Extra Mile: Our shared Responsibility for Safer Roads and Better Service Delivery,” held on Wednesday at the Conference Hall of the Yankari Express Transport Corporation, Bauchi.

According to him, “We will continue to
encourage our personnel to demonstrate courtesy and respect in dealing with members of the public, prompt and responsive service delivery, transparency and accountability, professional conduct, effective communication, respect for the rights and dignity of road users and also continuous inprovement through feedback, innovation and learning.”

He added, “Our commitment to customer service must therefore not end during the Customer Service Week but must reflect in our daily operations throughout the year.”

Leye Adegboyega said, “Customer Service
Week should not be regarded as an event that begins and ends within one week. Rather, it should serve as a reminder that excellent customer service is a continuous responsibility. Let us therefore strengthen the relationship between the FRSC and its stakeholders.”

He added, “Let us collectively create an environment where road users can
approach the Corps with confidence, where concerns are heard and appropriately addressed, and where every stakeholder understand that road safety isa shared responsibility.”

The ZCO appealed to all road users to obey traffic rules and regulations, avoid dangerous driving practices, maintain their vehicles properly and cooperate with traffic and law enforcement personnel.

“To our siakeholders, I sincerely thank you for your continued partnership and urge you to support the FRSC in our collective efforts to reduce road traffic crashes and their consequences. To our customers and the general public, we hear you, we value you, and we remain connitted to serving you better,” he added.

He further said, “Let us all resolve, individually and collectively, to go the extra mile – not only for beiter service delivery, but ultimately for the
preservation of human lives on our roads.”

In his opening remarks, the Sector Commander, CC Caleb Luka, said that the Customers week was aimed at having mutual interaction in order to know which areas of the service needed improvement.

Caleb Luka added that the FRSC aside ensuring safety on the roads, is committed to providing effective and efficient service delivery to its customers.

He then commended the State Government for providing an atmosphere of peace and good operations for the FRSC assuring that the Corps will remain supportive.

Also speaking, State Coordinator, Special Marshals, Bauchi Sector Command, Godwin Obioha, commended FRSC for ensuring safer roads across the State stressing that activities of the personnel have reduced road traffic crashes.

Represented by his Deputy, Idris Suleiman, the Coordinator said that Special Marshals are complementing the operations of the Regular Marshals on a voluntary basis and professionals in their various fields.

He called on road users to always obey traffic rules and regulations in order to reduce fatalities even when crash occurs stressing the need to be cautious while driving.

In his remarks, the General Manager of Yankari Express Transport Corporation commended the cordial relationship between the Corporation and the FRSC in State saying that the Corporation has had no cause of serious disagreement with the Corps.

The GM added that the Corps has been a regular supporting agency in terms of training and development of the drivers as well as other vehicles mentainance procedures especially tires and speed regulations.

Personnel from the NDLEA, Federal Fire Service and FRSC took turns to educate and enlightened the stakeholders on the need to obey traffic rules and regulations in order to avoid actions that may lead to crash on the road.

At the of the programme outstanding drivers of the Corporation for the year 2025 were presented with varions awards including cash.
