The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board is pleased to announce that all state pilgrims have safely returned to Makkah, after successfully completing the sacred rites in Mina, including the symbolic stoning of the Jamarat, which marks the conclusion of the major Hajj rituals for 2026.
This was contained in a Press statement issued by the Information Officer of the Board,Jibrin Usman Kodo and made available to Journalists on Saturday in Minna, stressing that the Board noted that the pilgrims conducted themselves in a peaceful, orderly, and highly commendable manner throughout the various stages of the pilgrimage.
The statement added that following the completion of the rites at Mina, the pilgrims have now settled back in Makkah, where they are patiently awaiting arrangements for their return journey to Nigeria.
Jibrin Usman Kodo said, similarly, preparations for the return airlift of pilgrims are currently underway in close collaboration with the relevant authorities.
He assured that Pilgrims will be duly informed once the official flight schedules are finalized and communicated by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
The Board reassured all pilgrims and their families that adequate measures would be put in place to ensure seamless airlifting of pilgrims back to Nigeria.
The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board commends all pilgrims for their patience, discipline, cooperation, and exemplary conduct throughout the Hajj exercise, which greatly contributed to the success of the 2026 pilgrimage.
The Board also expresses profound appreciation to the State Amirul Hajj, Ulama, the Board Chairman and Board Members, Area Pilgrims Welfare Officers (APWOs), Medical Team, the Management and Operational Staff whose dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment ensured the successes recorded.
The Board prays that Almighty Allah accepts the Hajj of all pilgrims, grants them safe return home, and bestow lasting blessings upon Niger State and Nigeria as a whole.
