ZLP Nominates Khalid Arewa as youngest Vice Presidential running mate

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, Chief Barr Dan Nwanyanwu, has picked Comrade Khalid Hassan Arewa as the Vice Presidential running mate.

The development, which is part of ZLP’s youths inclusiveness in governance signifies the readiness to have a vibrant and impactful national leadership come May 29th 2027.

Khalid Arewa who is the National Publicity Secretary of the ZLP is “the Only youngest Vice Presidential running mate in Nigeria as part of Youth inclusiveness in governance,” a statement from the party revealed.

The ZLP Vice Presidential running mate, is a Public Administrator, Entrepreneur, Community Development Expert, Political and youths Leader from Bauchi State.

As a Youth Leader in Bauchi State, he was One of the youngest candidates to contest for Governor’s seat of Bauchi State in the 2023 general elections under the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), as a silent achiever with a proven record in developmental politics, grassroots mobilization, and community development.

Khalid Arewa is committed to youths empowerment, education, good governance, and sustainable development across Northern Nigeria with key competencies in
Governance and Politics cutting across Campaign Strategy, Public Administration, Policy Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement.

As a Community Development expert, he is engaged in Project Management, Donor Liaison, Grassroots Mobilization, ASRH & Youth Programmes.

Part of his political experience include being the youngest candidate to contest for Governorship of Bauchi State in the 2023 General Elections and
Championed a people-centered manifesto focused on Youths Employment, Education, Healthcare, and Infrastructure.

He also mobilized youths and stakeholders across the 20 LGAs of Bauchi State for issue-based politics while being active in party building and developmental politics at Ward, LGA, and State levels.

Khalid Arewa has been able to be mentor to young leaders and aspiring politicians across Bauchi State, advocating for youths inclusion, transparency, and accountable governance.
