Niger State Police Command, through the Commissioner, Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has ordered adequate deployment of Police personnel and operational assets to provide security coverage at all places of worship, recreational centers, amusement parks, and other public places including critical infrastructures for public safety and ensuring a peaceful Easter celebration.
The CP also felicitated with Nigerlites, especially the Christian community, on the occasion of the Easter celebrations.
This was was contained in a Press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun and made available to Journalists on Thursday in Minna.
The statement added that the CP, also appreciates residents for their support and urged them to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies by providing prompt information to prevent and detect crime.
The statement further contained that, Abdullahi Adamu Eleman reiterated that, “as we commemorate the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Christ, it is only in togetherness we can fight crime for a safe and peaceful environment”.
Finally, he urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious situation to the Police for quick intervention.
