The 25 Local Government Female Vice Chairmen of Niger State were have said to have wholeheartedly endorsed the candidature of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for second term bid as a result of their policies and visible projects.
Speaking during the endorsement, the chairperson, Niger State Forum of Vice Chairmen and Chanchaga local government Vice chairman, Hajiya Safiya Tanimu Nasidi made this known at a press briefing held in Minna.
She stated that their endorsement for 2027 general elections was born out of conviction of the Vice Chairmen of the twenty five local governments of Niger state, saying that Governor Bago has redefined governance with courage, innovation, and uncommon determination.
Hajiya Safiya Tanimu Nasidi highlighted achievements of the present administration under the leadership of governor Bago to include: agriculture and food security, infrastructural development, healthcare transformation, education, youth and economic empowerment, grassroot leadership and inclusive governance.
She further applauded the leadership and Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu despite global economic challenges, he has continued to implement courageous reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for long term prosperity, stability and economic growth.
According to her, ” today with immense pride and conviction as the Chairpersons Forum Niger State to formally declare our total and unwavering endorsement of governor Mohammed Umar Bago and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a well-deserved second term in office”.
The Forum Secretary and Vice chairman of Alvin local government, Hajiya Fatima Yahaya Emilugi commended the All Progressives Congress APC led government achievements recorded at both Niger state and Nigeria.
She also enumerated some of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s led strides in the areas to include: education, health, agriculture, human and grassroot development as well as inclusive governance especially Niger state is the only state where women occupied the Vice Chairmanship seats across the entire local government councils.
The 25 local government areas Vice Chairmen consisting of all females were in attendance and unanimously declared their endorsement of the dua at the press briefing held at the campaign office of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state.
