The City Boy Movement, Bauchi State Chapter, has activated its state structure and commenced preparations for political activities across the state following a strategic meeting of its State Executive Council.
The meeting, held in Bauchi and presided over by the State Director of the Movement, Comrade Ja’afar Ibrahim Dass, brought together members of the State Executive Council to discuss the organisation’s political direction, structure, and plans for effective grassroots mobilisation across the 20 Local Government Areas of Bauchi State.
Welcoming members of the Council, Ja’afar Ibrahim Dass congratulated them on their appointments and charged them to take their responsibilities seriously as the movement begins its activities in the state.
He stressed the importance of commitment, discipline, loyalty, and effective coordination in building a strong political structure.
The State Director described the emergence of the Bauchi State structure as a significant step towards strengthening the presence of the City Boy Movement in the North-East and expanding its grassroots reach ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The Chapter then reaffirmed its commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its structures at the national, state, and grassroots levels.
It will work with the party and relevant stakeholders in mobilising support for its programmes, candidates, and political interests at the appropriate levels.
The chapter has also declared its full readiness to support the re-election bid of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming presidential election.
To this end, the State Executive Council will focus on building a strong grassroots network across Bauchi State, reaching all the Local Government Areas, wards, and communities.
The effort will place particular emphasis on expanding the participation of young people and strengthening the support base of both the City Boy Movement and the APC.
The chapter will also engage communities on the policies, programmes, and achievements of the Tinubu administration while encouraging peaceful, lawful, and responsible participation in the democratic process.
Recognising the growing influence of young people in Nigerian politics, the Bauchi Chapter intends to bring more young voters, community influencers, political stakeholders, and other relevant groups into its activities and engagements.
The State Executive Council has further resolved to strengthen its communication channels, improve coordination across the state, and establish an effective framework for sustained political engagement as the election season approaches.
The chapter will maintain close engagement with relevant stakeholders within the APC and the wider political environment while upholding the organisational identity and discipline of the City Boy Movement.
The leadership has called on members and supporters across Bauchi State to remain committed and prepared as activities commence. Details of forthcoming engagements, mobilisation exercises, and political events will be announced through the movement’s official channels.
With its state structure now in place, the City Boy Movement, Bauchi State Chapter, is set to commence full-scale grassroots engagement and play an active role in shaping the political conversation and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
