The ruling Allied Peoples Movement, (APM), in Bauchi State on Wednesday flagged off its campaign for the forthcoming Local Council elections with the formal presentation of the party’s flags to its candidates .
The ceremony took place at Babasidi Primary School, Bauchi, and was attended by stakeholders of the party from across Bauchi LGA.
While presenting the flags, the State Chairman of APM, Auwal Isa (Maitakalmin Roda), said the party was fully prepared to contest the Local Government elections scheduled for August 17, 2026, and the 2027 general elections.
He urged the people of Bauchi State to vote for APM, citing the credibility and reliability of its candidates.
In his remarks, the Commissioner for Housing and Environment, Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule, said the large turnout at the event was a clear demonstration of the strength of APM in Bauchi State.
The Commissioner for Higher Education,Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed Kwango, also delivered a goodwill message and expressed the state government’s readiness for the Bauchi Local Government elections.
Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Bauchi Local Government, Hon. Mahmood Babamaji, and the APM Deputy Governorship candidate, called on residents of Bauchi LGA to vote for the party’s chairmanship candidate, Umar Aliyu Wakilin Tsaftan Bauchi, and his Councillors.
They commended Governor Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for providing an enabling environment and for the development projects across the state.
Mahmood Babamaji assured stakeholders that, Insha Allah, APM would emerge victorious in the August 17, 2026 local government election and in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the candidates, the Bauchi LGA Chairmanship candidate, Umar Aliyu Wakilin Tsaftan Bauchi, welcomed the gathering and assured that they would do their best for the people when elected.
The event was coordinated by the Bauchi LGA Chairman of APM,Alh. Dalladi Dan Baba Mazawajen Bauchi. Other stakeholders also delivered goodwill messages.
