Bauchi State is set to host a National Conference on ethical leadership, integrity and moral rejuvenation scheduled to hold on the 19th and 20th of June, 2026.
The Conference is organized by Minal Learning Foundation (MLF), in collaboration with strategic partners and stakeholders, with the aim of building a new Nigeria and intensifying good citizenship.
According to a statement issued by the Executive Director of Minal Learning Foundation, Hajiya Bilkisu Abubakar Sambo, the national gathering is designed to address the growing need for ethical leadership, youths empowerment, civic responsibility, integrity promotion, and moral rebuilding within Nigerian society.
She stated that the Conference with the Theme: “Ethics, Integrity and Moral Rejuvenation for Sustainable National Development” will bring together policymakers, educators, development organizations, anti-corruption advocates, media practitioners, entrepreneurs, traditional leaders, youths organizations, students, and professionals from across Nigeria to deliberate on critical national issues and pathways towards sustainable national development.
The Executive Director explained that the Conference aims to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, collaboration, policy engagement, and practical solutions that will inspire positive social transformation and responsible leadership among young people and communities.
She further noted that the key objectives of the Conference include promoting ethical leadership and integrity at all levels of society, encouraging moral discipline, responsible citizenship, accountability among youths, and empowering young people through mentorship, education, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities.
The Conference also seeks to strengthen partnerships between institutions, organizations, policymakers, and development stakeholders in advancing national values and ethical standards.
Bilkisu Abubakar Sambo also disclosed that the two-day event will feature Ethical Leadership and Integrity Sessions, Youth Ambassadors of Integrity Programme, Entrepreneurship and Networking Sessions,
Policy Dialogue and Stakeholders Engagement as well as Book Launch Ceremony Unveiling of the Ethical and Moral Rejuvenation Centre (EMRC).
She added that the first day of the Conference will feature the prestigious National Ethical Heroes Awards, dedicated to honouring both living and posthumous Nigerians who have made exceptional contributions towards integrity, ethical leadership, justice, patriotism, accountability, peacebuilding, and national development.
The awards ceremony is aimed at celebrating individuals whose sacrifices, service, and commitment to Nigeria continue to inspire future generations and promote a culture of honesty, responsibility, and moral excellence.
Among the dignitaries expected to grace the occasion are the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, the Sultan of Sokoto, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Emirs of Bauchi, Dass, Zazzau, Damaturu, Security Heads , Development Partners, diplomats, and Traditional leaders.
Other expected participants include the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Civil Society Organizations, youths groups, and respected professionals from various sectors.
The Conference is expected to serve as a major national platform for promoting integrity, ethical leadership, responsible citizenship, and sustainable development in Nigeria.
