BWSO Intensifies Voter Education Campaign to Boost Civic Participation in Bauchi

The Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting voter education and encouraging active civic participation among eligible citizens across Bauchi State.

This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer of BWSO, Arch. Mukhtar Ahmed Jarmajo, while hosting executives of the Youths & Women for Bala Wunti Progressive Movement during a courtesy visit to his office.

According to Arch. Jarmajo, intensified voter education efforts ahead of the forthcoming general elections are central to BWSO’s strategic agenda, aimed at addressing voter apathy and fostering informed participation in the democratic process.

He stressed the importance of ensuring that citizens not only register to vote but also collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to fully exercise their civic rights.

Earlier, the Coordinator of the Youths & Women for Bala Wunti Progressive Movement, Ahmed Abdullahi, expressed the group’s readiness to collaborate with BWSO in advancing grassroots civic engagement initiatives.

He noted that such collaboration would significantly enhance voter awareness and participation, particularly among youths and women in rural communities.

Mr. Abdullahi added that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening democratic values and promoting inclusive political participation across Bauchi State.
