The Executive Chairman of Gombe South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Alhaji Auwal Jauro Bappi, has awarded a N500,000 scholarship to Adamu Saleh Sani to support his studies at a university in Malaysia.
Presenting the scholarship, Bappi said the gesture was part of his administration’s efforts to promote education and empower youths in the LCDA to pursue opportunities beyond the country.
He urged the beneficiary to remain focused on his studies and be a good ambassador of Gombe South, Gombe State and Nigeria while in Malaysia.
The chairman also called on him to return home after completing his studies and contribute to the development of the LCDA.
Sani expressed appreciation to the chairman for the support, saying it would assist him in pursuing his academic goals in Malaysia.
Those present at the occasion included the Deputy Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Dalhatu Baderi; Secretary, Muhammad Dan Musa; councillors and other dignitaries.
