Governor Bala Mohammed sacks Internal security, home affairs Commissioner

Bauchi State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, has been relieved of his appointment and ceases to be a member of the State Executive Council (SEC).

The announcement was contained in terse 2 paragraph statement signed and released by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado, made available to Journalists in the early hours of Monday.

The terse statement reads: “His Excellency , Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State has approved a minor change in the composition of his cabinet.”

“In that respect, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima has been relieved of his appointment as a member of the State Executive Council with immediate effect,” The statement further contained.

The SA Media explained that,”The decision re-emphasizes the Government’s resolve to periodically effect changes in order to continuously inject fresher ideas to strengthen governance, reposition the cabinet for improved service delivery, and ensure the effective implementation of Government policies and programmes across the state.”

Governor Mohammed expressed his deep appreciation to Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima for the services rendered to Bauchi State and wished him well in his future endeavours.

He further reassured the people of Bauchi State of his administration’s continued commitment to peace, security, and good governance.

According to Mukhtar Gidado, “A replacement will be announced in due course.”
