National Examinations Council (NECO) has recognized and celebrated the exceptional contributions by staff of the council and other stakeholders.
This took place during the 2025 Annual Staff Productivity Award Ceremony held at the NECO headquarters Minna, Niger State capital.
Speaking during the event, NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, appreciated the leadership, support, and active participation of all stakeholders.
He emphasized that achieving the council’s national mandate relies on a shared commitment to excellence and sustained collaboration among all stakeholders.
The registrar also paid glowing tribute to the staff of the council describing them as the “Army of NECO, who have demonstrated dedication, resilience, and professionalism in discharging their responsibilities to the nation.
Processor Dantani Wushishi reaffirmed his dedication to continuous improvement, adding that the council remains focused on strengthening accountability and preserving the credibility of its examinations globally.
NECO Boss urged members of the staff to view the recognition as a call to higher productivity, teamwork, and service delivery across all test centers nationwide and abroad.
The Chairman of the event who was represented by DG Students Affairs, Dr Bello Shariff applauded the NECO Management led by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, along with the entire workforce, for their dedication to improving productivity and operational standards.
He stressed that the award ceremony is designed to boost staff morale, encourage healthy competition, and reinforce service delivery standards, stressing that maintaining high standards in conducting examinations directly benefits candidates and strengthens public trust in examination outcomes.
The ceremony featured awards across several key categories, including: Certificate of Service to twenty-twenty five Retirees, Hardworking and Dedicated Staff, Best Coordinator of the Year twenty-twenty five, Best Driver of the Year, Excellent Performance in Other Areas, and Special Awards for Best Performing Male and Female Students (2025 Examinations): Celebrating top-achieving candidates whose exceptional results reflect hard work, discipline, and perseverance respectively.
