Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has paid a visit to the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Works
The governor used the avenue to appreciate the federal government for the approval of the reconstruction of some federal roads in the State which include the 120km Mokwa–Bida Road, 63km Mokwa–Makera Road, and 123.5km Bida–Lambata Road in addition to the Suleja-Minna road project.
Governor Umaru Bago equally reassured the federal government that his administration would provide all the necessary support to contractors handling the projects in the state to ensure its successful execution.
Discussions also centred on how best to mobilize contractors to the site and evolve strategies in putting them on their toes to enable them deliver the projects as stipulated in the contract terms.
The governor’s visit was also part of his continuing efforts to secure improved road infrastructure for Niger State, which has the largest trunk of federal roads in the country.
