The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, mnips visited Inspr Emmanuel Onah who is currently receiving medical attention at IBB Specialist Hospital Minna as a result of gunshot injury.
The said inspector sustained a gunshot injury during the recent attack on the Police tactical team at Papiri in Agwara LGA of the State on 6th May 2026, while two other personnel unfortunately lost their lives during the incident.
The CP commended the personnel for gallantry and courage in repelling the criminals, while wishing the inspector a quick recovery.
He also presented a cheque of N1million (one million naira) to the injured inspector, stating that the Niger State government supported the Command with a sum of five million naira as a token to support the families of the deceased personnel and the injured officer.
He added that a sum of N in 2million (two million naira each ) will be forwarded to the families of the deceased personnel; Inspr Dennis Sani and Inspr Ibrahim Abdulmalik, while other benefits from the Police Force will be processed immediately.
The Commissioner of Police appreciated the kind gesture from the state government and assured that the Police Command will not rest on its oars in defending the state from any act of criminality.
