Northern SGS Forum meeting opens in Kaduna

The Forum of Secretaries to Government of the 19 Northern States under the Chairmanship of Gombe State SSG, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi have met at the General Hassan Katsina House, Kaduna to draw up agenda for the meeting of their Principals scheduled for Monday, the 30th of March.

Speaking at the commencement of the meeting, the Chairman of the SGS Forum, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi welcome his colleagues from the 19 Northern States describing their unwavering commitment to service to their respective states and the country at large as highly commendable.

He pointed out that the appointment of a substantive Director General for the Northern States Governors Forum forms part of a broader reform by the Governors’ Forum to deepen the delivery of policies and programs that have direct bearing on the lives of the people within the Northern Region.

The Chairman of the Northern SSG’s Forum therefore welcome the Director General of the Northern States Governors Forum and congratulated him for his well deserve appointment.

He described the DG as a seasoned Administrator whose wealth of experience is subliminal.

He assured the DG of the Northern States Governors Forum that the SSG’s from the 19 Northern States will continue to work in in partnership to compliment, improve and enhance the overall policy direction of the Northern States Governors Forum.

He enjoined the DG to always interface with the SSG’s Forum in order to realize the lofty goals of the Northern States Governors Forum which among others things is to improve the social economic and infrastructural development of the North.

Speaking for the first time at the Northern SSG’s Forum meeting, the newly appointed Director General of the Northern States Governors Forum Ezekiel Gomos, thanked both Forum for the opportunity to serve.

He described the role of the SSGs forum as critically important to the formulation and implementation of policies and programs for the benefits of the people.

While appealing for patience and tolerance in the march towards a better and more prosperous North and Nigeria as a whole, Ezekiel Gomos assured of a robust collaboration for the smooth implementation of policies and programs as enunciated by the Governor’s forum, as contained in a statement signed by Joshua DanMallam, Information Officer, SSG’s Office.
