You’ll not walk alone in 2027 – New political pressure group, Kaura Force assures Gov Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has been assured that in his political journey of 2027, he will not walk alone as a new political pressure group to agitate for his elective office, ‘The Kaura Force Movement’, has been formally launched.

The assurance was made by the group, being led by the Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Mohammed Maiwada Bello, during the official presentation of the group to the public on Monday during a Press conference held at the NUJ Press Center.

Speaking at the launch, Mohammed Maiwada Bello stated that, “The Kaura Force Movement emerged at a defining moment in our political history, a moment that calls for clarity, unity, and the defense of credible leadership.”

According to him, “Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is widely recognized as a tested statesman, experienced administrator, and courageous voice for democratic accountability in Nigeria. His leadership philosophy is grounded in performance, fairness, and the belief that governance must deliver tangible improvements in the lives of citizens.”

Maiwada Bello stressed that, “Across Bauchi State today, the evidence of this leadership is clear and visible. Strategic infrastructure projects, strengthened public institutions, economic empowerment programs for youths and women, and deliberate investments in education, healthcare, and social development have transformed the trajectory of the State.”

He added that, “Under his administration, Bauchi State has transitioned from years of limited development into a period defined by renewed progress, stability, and growing national recognition.”

“One of the most remarkable characteristics of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed’s leadership is his commitment to inclusive governance. In a country where politics sometimes becomes divided along ethnic, religious, or sectional lines, His Excellency has consistently demonstrated that leadership must unite rather than divide,” he posited.

The Commissioner further stated that,”His administration reflects the diversity of Bauchi State and the broader Nigerian Federation, bringing together professionals and technocrats from different ethnic groups and regions to serve based on merit and competence. This governance philosophy reinforces the belief that national cohesion and fairness must always prevail over narrow political interests.”

He also stated that,”Equally significant is his unwavering commitment to religious harmony and peaceful coexistence. Through consistent engagement with leaders of Islamic, Christian, and traditional faith communities, Governor Bala Mohammed has strengthened the culture of tolerance and unity that defines Bauchi State.”

Maiwada Bello further stated that, “As a result, Bauchi continues to stand as one of Nigeria’s most politically stable and peaceful states. It is important to emphasize that His Excellency is not a leader who seeks validation through political theatrics or media noise. His focus remains governance, development, and the long-term welfare of the people.”

According to him, “This commitment explains why the people of Bauchi State continue to express deep and overwhelming confidence in his leadership. Across communities, professional circles, and grassroots networks, citizens consistently affirm that the political strength of Kauran Bauchi is firmly rooted in the trust of the people.”

He further stated that,”Indeed, many supporters openly state that the depth of his grassroots connection is so strong that *even outside traditional party structures, his political influence would remain formidable and decisive.”

“It is within this atmosphere of public confidence and civic responsibility that we proudly announce the launch of the Kaura Force Movement,” he added.

He stressed that, “Kaura Force is not merely a political platform. It is a broad-based citizens’ movement bringing together youths, professionals, community leaders, civil society advocates, and grassroots supporters who are committed to protecting the developmental progress achieved in Bauchi State and strengthening democratic engagement across Nigeria.”

The movement stands for protection of democratic mandates, defense of credible leadership, Grassroots political mobilization, Responsible civic participation and Sustained development and social progress.

According to him,”As a demonstration of the deep appreciation that citizens have for the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Kaura Force Movement has taken a historic and symbolic decision.”

He declared that, “Whenever His Excellency decides to contest for any political office in the future, Kaura Force will undertake the responsibility of purchasing his nomination form and providing no less than 50% of the state or national mobilization and campaign logistics required.”

He explained that the commitment reflects the profound trust and loyalty that millions of citizens have in a leader whose governance continues to improve lives.

“At the same time, it is important to address the evolving political dynamics within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The internal disagreements currently affecting the party are the result of prolonged leadership disputes that ideally should have been resolved through dialogue, consensus, and institutional discipline,” he added.

He also stated that,”Unfortunately, these unresolved conflicts have created uncertainty within what remains the largest opposition political platform on the African continent.”

Kaura Force believes firmly that democracy requires strong and vibrant opposition institutions. Any attempt to weaken opposition politics in Nigeria ultimately threatens democratic stability and national balance.

Maiwada Bello stressed that,”If at any point His Excellency decides to take a political position regarding his party affiliation, that decision will remain entirely within his constitutional rights as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Such a decision would be guided by democratic principles and the broader national interest.”

He also stated,”However, one fact remains clear and undisputed: *the leadership, courage, and developmental record of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in Bauchi State have earned him respect far beyond the borders of the state.”

According to him, “Across Nigeria, many observers increasingly recognize in him the qualities of a *national bridge-builder, a defender of democratic values, and a leader capable of contributing meaningfully to the future direction of the country.”

“While His Excellency remains fully committed to the responsibilities entrusted to him by the people of Bauchi State, it is evident that the ideas, leadership style, and political courage he represents are becoming part of a broader national conversation about the future of Nigeria,” he added.

The Kaura Force therefore reaffirmed its unwavering loyalty to the vision, leadership, and progressive ideals of Kauran Bauchi.

He stated that,”Even as we reject misinformation and political provocations, we remain committed to peaceful political engagement, democratic maturity, and responsible civic conduct.”

According to him, “Bauchi State has always been known for peace, tolerance, and unity. These values must continue to guide our political discourse and collective actions. His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, remains focused on governance, development, and the welfare of the people.”

He concluded that,”Under his leadership, Bauchi State will continue to move forward in *unity, stability, and progressive development,* while contributing meaningfully to the broader democratic future of Nigeria.”
