2027 Hajj: Niger Pilgrims’ Board Directs Intending Pilgrims To Pay Only Through Designated Bank Accounts.

The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has directed prospective pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj exercise to make all payments strictly through the Board’s officially designated bank accounts, warning against transactions with individuals or unauthorised accounts.

The Director of Administration of the Board, Alhaji Ado Bello, gave the directive during separate live radio sensitisation programmes on , Prestige FM , Landmark FM Kontagora, and Nexter F. M Minna.

Bello, who appeared alongside members of the Board’s eight-member management team, said the directive was aimed at protecting intending pilgrims from fraudulent transactions and ensuring transparency and accountability in the 2027 Hajj arrangements.

He urged prospective pilgrims to disregard payment requests made through personal accounts or intermediaries, stressing that all approved payments must be made only into the following designated accounts:

According to the Information and Public Relations Officer of the Board, Lubabatu Mohammed Kusherki, in a statement issued and made available to Journalists over the weekend in Minna,the designated banks are Taj Bank, with Account Number:0006436521 and

Zenith Bank, Account  Number: 1015797161

The statement added that the Director advised intending pilgrims to obtain and retain evidence of payment for proper documentation and verification by the Board.

He further urged prospective pilgrims to commence their registration and other preparatory processes early, including documentation, passport processing, medical screening and participation in the mandatory orientation and training programmes.

Bello explained that the radio engagements were part of the Board’s sustained public enlightenment campaign to ensure that prospective pilgrims receive accurate and timely information on the 2027 Hajj arrangements.

Responding to questions from listeners, the management team provided clarification on payment procedures, documentation, passport requirements and other aspects of the pilgrimage preparations.

The Board particularly cautioned intending pilgrims against relying on information from unofficial sources, urging them to verify any payment instruction or Hajj-related information through the Board before taking action.

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability and the welfare of Niger State pilgrims, assuring prospective pilgrims that further information on the 2027 Hajj exercise would be communicated through verified official channels.
