The Presbyterian Young People’s Association of Nigeria, (PYPAN), Bauchi Mission Parish, has marked its 2026 Youth Emphasis Week with a call on young people to flourish in the grace of God and fulfil His purpose for their lives.
Themed “Called to Flourish in the Grace of God,” the celebration focused on encouraging youths to grow spiritually, prosper and advance in God’s purpose.
In a sermon to round off the week at the Presbyterian church of Nigeria Rafin Zurfi Bauchi, the preacher comrade Favour Richard emphasized that to flourish means to prosper, succeed and make meaningful progress in accordance with God’s plan.
She said Grace gives those who believe in God a new identity.
“Grace is not something that can be bought by money, it comes from God to those who merit it”.
She encouraged PYPAN members to remain committed to their faith, support one another and use their talents and abilities to promote the glory of God.
Lessons and biblical reflections during the week were drawn from the Book of Genesis and the Gospel of John, with emphasis on God’s purpose, grace and the responsibility of young people to live purposeful lives.
“Genesis chapter 21 clearly describes Jacob’s patience thus all who seek his grace must be patience as grace sustain us during difficult times”.
She urged members of PYPAN to continue believing in God, encouraging one another and serving as positive examples in the church and society.
The preacher added that to flourish in grace believers must continually pray, study the word of God, evangelize and bring people closer to God.
“For anyone who wants to flourish he must receive Christ, remain faithful and strengthen yourself with Grace”.
The PYPAN president comrade Michael paulinus who presented a goodwill message urge the young people to put more efforts to planning churches and live a life based on God’s words.
The 2026 Youth Emphasis Week which brought together young people and members of the Presbyterian Church witnessed talks , Bible study and was rounded up on Sunday with dedication and thanksgiving.
