As agitations for 2027 general elections heightened, Youths in Toro LGA of Bauchi State, have taken a decision to support one of them, Comrade Abdulfatah Muazu, to contest the Toro/Jama’a State Constituency, Bauchi State House of Assembly under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The decision was made public during a consultative and stakeholders meeting held in Toro on Saturday ahead of the close of nomination exercise in the ADC.
Convener of the meeting, stated that, “We have witnessed the true spirit of unity, patriotism, and solidarity from the vibrant youths of Toro LGA through their overwhelming response within a very short period of time — less than two hours — toward the purchase of the Interest and Nomination Form for one of their own, whom we unanimously agreed to support for the position of Member, Bauchi State House of Assembly, representing Toro/Jama’a Constituency under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections.”
He added that,”Having carefully assessed and reflected on the legacies, contributions, and developmental strides of Hon. Comrade Abdulfatah Muazu across Toro LGA, we found his impact on human development to be extraordinary and far beyond imagination.”
He further stated that,”These remarkable qualities inspired us as youths to rally behind him so he can continue and even expand the good work he has already started.”
According to him, “We sincerely salute our gallant youths and supporters who contributed toward the purchase of the form. We say thank you, and may Almighty Allah continue to strengthen and reward us as we work together toward success.”
“What surprised many of us most was that this fundraising effort was not publicly announced on Facebook or any social media platform. It was simply based on trust and personal communication — one person informing another — yet within hours, millions of Naira were raised,” he added.
He stressed that,”This alone speaks volumes about the love, trust, confidence, and acceptance the people have for the candidate we have chosen. By the grace of Allah, we believe he will lead us to the promised land.”
According to him, “For those questioning why Hon. Abdulfatah Muazu was not the one publicly informing people about the fundraising or the timing of the form purchase, we wish to clarify that the initiative was purely carried out by supporters and youths without his prior knowledge. What he simply saw was that the funds had already been raised and the team was prepared to proceed with the purchase of the form.”
He concluded, “Therefore, anyone who still wishes to contribute or support this noble movement is highly welcome. The door remains open to everyone. Thank you all, and may Allah bless Toro/Jama’a Constituency and Bauchi State.”
