A total of 24,917 students in public Secondary Schools in Bauchi State are to benefit from the sum of N888,507,400.00 approved for payment of various external examinations in 2026.
The development is following the approval by the State Government, under the purposeful leadership of the Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, og the sum of N888,507,400.00.
The payment of external examinations fees also include that of JAMB and CBT training for the students in public Secondary Schools across the State for 2026.
The approval covers the registration of students for National Examinations Council (NECO) – 22,646 students; National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB)-
2,064 students; National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS)- 207 students; Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and CBT
Training of 6,562 students making a total of, 24,917 students across Bauchi State who will benefit from this intervention.
The Commissioner of Education,
Alh. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, stated that, “This landmark approval once again demonstrates the unwavering commitment of His Excellency to strengthening the education sector and ensuring that no child is denied the opportunity to sit for critical
examinations due to financial constraints.”
He stressed that, “The initiative aligns with the administration’s sustained efforts to expand access, promote equity, and improve learning outcomes in public schools.”
“The Bauchi State Ministry of Education extends its warmest appreciation to His Excellency for finding these students worthy of such a strategic investment,” The Commissioner added.
Abdulkadir Ibrahim stressed that,
“This gesture will undoubtedly ease the burden on parents and guardians while empowering thousands of young people to pursue higher education and career opportunities.”
