Use Easter period to pray for peace, unity, stability – Niger Speaker to Christians

Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin Daji, has called on Christians to use the Easter season as a time of prayer for sustained peace and stability in the State.

In his Easter message to Christians across the state, the Speaker described the season as a sacred period symbolizing sacrifice, love, hope, and renewal, as reflected in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He encouraged believers to embody these virtues in their daily lives and promote peaceful coexistence among citizens.
The Speaker emphasized the need for prayers to overcome the state’s security challenges and foster development.
 He reassured residents of the Assembly’s commitment to working closely  Executive arm, led by Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, to tackle insecurity and drive infrastructural and agricultural growth under the administration’s New Niger Agenda.
The Speaker also reaffirmed the 10th Assembly’s dedication to enacting impactful legislation aimed at improving the welfare of the people and ensuring sustainable development.
He concluded his message by wishing Christians a peaceful and fulfilling Easter celebration.”
