A Non-governmental organization, Numald Care Foundation, has provided a Solar powered borehole it constructed at Sabongida Community, Tarjan of Tafawa Balewa Local Government area of Bauchi state.
The gesture was aimed at providing the community with potable drinking water and improving Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in the community.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony on Saturday, the Chairperson of the Foundation, Mrs Numtas Alhamdu Daniel Sabo, said the organization has provided similar interventions across various communities in the state.
Represented by Engr. Dr Samuel Iliya Bajary, She stated that, “We have assisted the less privileged members of the society, because the aims and objectives of our organization, Numald Care Foundation is to help the needy, less privileged and the vulnerable members of the society, including orphans and widows.”
According to her, the organization, which commenced operating about Five years ago, has embarked on several interventions aimed at improving the living standard of the common people.
The Chairperson of the Foundation, who is from the zone, said that the borehole was commissioned to benefit the community and improve their living standards.
The community representative, former PDP Youth Leader, Alhaji Murtala Bununu, expressed appreciation to the organization for the gesture and prayed for God’s blessings.
He commended the management of the foundation for giving back to the community and appealed to similar organizations to emulate them.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by notable personalities, including Supul Theophilus Magani Yir Gung Zaar Port Harcourt, Mr Mako Demogh Hazo, NIMASA Port Harcourt, Secretary of Numald Care Foundation, Surveyor Alhamdu Daniel Sabo who’s an Aspirant for Dass, Bogoro, and Tafawa Balewa (DBT) House of Representatives 2027, among others. community.
