Niger State Pilgrims Welfare  Board Commences 2027 Hajj Registration, Fixes ₦7.7 Million As Initial Hajj Fare.
The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has officially commenced registration for the 2027 Hajj exercise and, interim fixed the Hajj fare at ₦7,700,000 (Seven Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) only, per intending pilgrim, pending the official announcement of the approved fare by NAHCON.
This was disclosed in a statement issued today by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu.
According to him, the Board has also declared September 20th, 2026, as the deadline for registration and payment of the 2027 Hajj fare, a week before National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), ultimatum of 25th September, 2026.
Sheikh Muhammad Awwal Aliyu urged all intending pilgrims from the state to commence payment immediately and complete their registration before the deadline to facilitate prompt remittance to NAHCON and ensure smooth planning for the pilgrimage.
The Executive Secretary further emphasized that only individuals who are medically and mentally fit will be registered for the exercise, as part of efforts to minimize health-related risks and ensure the well-being of pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.
He reaffirmed the Board’s unwavering commitment towards providing efficient, transparent, and well-coordinated services that will guarantee a hitch-free and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for all intending pilgrims from Niger State.
The Board, therefore, calls on all interested Muslims across the state to take advantage of the registration window and begin preparations early for the 2027 Hajj.
