Ahead of the 2027 general elections, particularly the presidential election, a Northern political structure, Tinubu Lungu Lungu, which is focusing on massive supportive for President Bola Tinubu, has transitioned from 2023 campaign operations to a permanent, data-based mobilisation system built around ward and polling-unit coordinators ahead.

The disclosure was made by the National Chairman of the movement, Abdullahi Sa’idu Gumau, saying that the change is deliberate.

According to him, “Tinubu Lungu Lungu is not a campaign slogan. It is a command structure built for results. In 2023, we mobilised as a campaign. In 2027 we are mobilising as an institution. The difference is depth and permanence.”

Abdullahi Gumau explained that, the group now operates in all 36 States, the FCT and 774 local government areas through a chain of command that runs from National Secretariat to State Coordinators, Local Government Coordinators, Ward Representatives and Polling Unit Commanders.

He further said that the organisation has named Ward Representatives and Polling Unit Commanders in all 8,809 wards nationwide.

“We are built on coordinators, data and door-to-door engagement, not noise. That chain of command is why we will deliver more votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 than we did in 2023″, he stated.

He explained that Polling Unit Commanders are tasked with maintaining live registers of supporters, monitoring Permanent Voters Cards collection, and conducting house-to-house sensitisation in Hausa and local languages, while Ward Representatives compile and submit weekly dashboards tracking new registrants, transfers processed, town halls held and issues raised.

Abdullahi Gumau further said that the data flows from the polling unit to the ward, to the LGA, to the state coordinator, and to the National Secretariat which he opined that the approach would ensure elections are won before the election day.

The National Chairman said the North East is the immediate focus of expansion as the region covers six states and 1,059 wards.

He listed the six state coordinators as: Loice Alesa for Adamawa, mandated for women and youth mobilisation; Babakura Alhaji Ali for Borno, leading community engagement and security-sensitive outreach; Abba Kolo Jampol for Yobe, driving town halls and student outreach; Abbas Adamu Loddo for Taraba, coordinating farmers, herders and transport unions; Hon. Usman Dahiru for Gombe, managing market and artisan networks; and Nuhu Abubakar Gambo for Bauchi, assigned to unify the state’s 20 LGAs.

According to him, “They report to the National Secretariat weekly, cascade directives to LGAs, and are accountable for targets from voter registration to turnout. Their mandate is specific: harmonise stakeholders, reconcile tendencies, and ensure one message in all six states.”

Abdullahi Gumau said the structure exists to explain federal policy in households.

He gave examples of how polling-unit teams engage voters: “When a farmer in Gamawa asks what subsidy removal means, our ward teams show how savings are funding roads, schools and health centres. When a trader in Muda Lawal Market asks about credit, our polling unit commanders break down the Consumer Credit scheme. When parents ask about school fees, our teams point to the Student Loans Act, which has already opened doors for over 200,000 low-income students.”

“An informed voter is a loyal voter, and this organisation ensures every household sees the Renewed Hope Agenda in their daily life,” he added.

The group also positions itself as a grassroots intelligence channel for APC. Gumau said reports on fertiliser delivery, Primary Health Care staffing, classroom rehabilitation and rural roads move from polling unit to ward to LGA to state and to his office, then to party leaders and agencies.

“A party that listens is a party that lasts. Under my supervision, Tinubu Lungu Lungu is making that connection permanent,” he said.

On Bauchi, Abdullahi Gumau said the state structure is aligned around former governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN, with Nuhu Abubakar Gambo coordinating.

According to him, as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, M.A Abubakar brings legal depth and respect for due process.

He added that M.A Abubakar who is the Bauchi State APC governorship flag bearer for 2027 understands the state’s economy, security architecture and development priorities as a former governor.

He said elders, former aspirants, youth leaders and women groups are being integrated, with personal interest “submitting to collective victory.”

Abdullahi Gumau linked the group’s work to stability at the national party level noting that the National Working Committee under Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Gwoshe has restored discipline, reconciliation and focus to APC. “That national stability is amplifying our work,” he said.

With coordinators in all 774 LGAs and 8,809 wards, the group says it is running PVC drives, new-registrant tracking and community town halls with artisans, transport unions, students and traditional institutions.

He concluded that the Tinubu Lungu Lungu organisation is rooted, ready and relentless adding that under his leadership, with the North East state coordinators and their LG, ward and polling unit teams fully deployed, President Tinubu will receive more votes in 2027 than in 2023.

“The organization is wider, the message is clearer and the machine is already running, ward by ward and vote by vote”, he said.
