Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has been appointed the Zonal Coordinator for Stakeholders’ Mobilisation, North-East, in the newly constituted 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.
The Governor’s appointment was contained in the membership list of the Council released on Saturday, August 22, 2026, alongside the appointments of other members of the Campaign Council.
In his new role, Inuwa Yahaya will coordinate the engagement and mobilisation of key APC stakeholders across the six states of the North-East geopolitical zone ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The Presidential Campaign Council is chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, serving as Vice Chairmen.
Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, is the Director-General of the Campaign, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, serves as Secretary.
The Governor’s appointment further reflects his strategic role in the APC, particularly in strengthening party cohesion, stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation across the North-East.
A second-term Governor of Gombe State and the APC candidate for Gombe North Senatorial District, Inuwa Yahaya is a seasoned and astute politician with extensive experience in party organisation, stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation.
His latest appointment further builds on his growing responsibilities in the mobilisation architecture of the APC.
He was recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Secretary of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, with responsibility for party outreach and mobilisation, a role he continues to discharge with diligence and commitment.
With his strong political networks, deep understanding of the region and extensive engagements with party stakeholders across the North-East, the Governor is well positioned to bring his experience and mobilisation capacity to bear on the Campaign Council’s efforts to galvanise support for President Tinubu and the APC across the zone, as contained in a statement signed by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
