Again, bandits strike, kill 4 in Niger communities

Suspected terrorists once again, unleashed terror last Saturday, January 10, 2026, as they  attacked Damala community via Woko District in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State .
During the attack by the hoodlums,  no fewer than four persons were said to have  lost their lives, just as  some livestocks were also said to have been rusted in the process.
Also, some shops were said to have been set ablaze by the hoodlums during  the attack in the village.
Timelynews report.com.ng further gathered that the incidents occurred  within the early hours of the fateful day in the village.
Also confirming the incidents was the Spokesman of the State Police Command SP Wasiu Abiodun, in a Press statement issued and made available to the Newsmen over the weekend.
The statement noted, “that a report  received indicated that suspected armed bandits attacked Damala Village, via Woko District Borgu LGA, rustled some cattle and about four persons lost their lives during the attack within the village”.
SP  Abiodun further  confirmed that “Some shops were  also set ablaze by the  hoodlums stressing that  some  security agencies had  visited the scene, saying that  “clearance operation is still  ongoing in the village while  monitoring continues”.
