The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Bauchi State Chapter, on Wednesday, expressed profound disappointment and utter disbelief at the recent endorsement by the Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State, who have publicly declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office.
The PRP, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Hon.Abdurrahaman Yusuf Mu’azu, stated that, “It is truly astonishing that these individuals, who parade themselves as leaders and
representatives of the people, could come out in broad daylight to endorse a President whose administration has been marked by glaring failures, neglect, and a total disregard for the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.”
The party added that,”Their endorsement, given amidst an alarming rise in insecurity,
economic hardship, unemployment, and widespread suffering, exposes their blatant in sensitivity and political blindness.”
“While the citizens of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large continue to grapple with insecurity, poor infrastructure, and economic stagnation, these APC stakeholders shamelessly pledged allegiance to Tinubu without a shred of concern for the devastating realities facing our people,” It stated.
According to PRP, “Their endorsement is not rooted in genuine concern or interest of the citizens but appears to be a mere political convenience, aimed at securing personal gains and political patronage.”
It stressed that, “It is laughable that these so-called stakeholders can stand in a high-profile gathering and, with blind loyaty, endorsed a leadership whose policies have failed to deliver security, economic stability, or social development.”
It stressed further that, ‘Their actions reinforce the notion that they are more interested in political survival than in the welfare and progress of Bauchi people and Nigerians at large.”
“The PRP hereby called on the citizens of Bauchi State and Nigeria to see through this charade. True leadership is demonstrated through commitment to the welfare of the people, not through empty endorsements driven by political expediency,” it added.
According to the PRP, “Our people deserve leaders who are genuinely interested in their welfare, security, and future -qualities that are currently glaringly absent in the Tinubu administration and its APC supporters.”
In conclusion, the PRP urged the electorate to exercise their power wisely, reject the politics of blind endorsements, and demand accountable, responsible leadership that prioritizes the interests of the people over personal and partisan gains.
