Bayero’s political structure collapses, endorses Pantami for Governor 2027 

Few days after former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sen Bayero Usman Nafada, dumped the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), his political structure across the Eleven LGAs of Gombe has formally collapsed and endorsed the gubernatorial candidature of Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami for 2027 general elections.

Leaders and members of the political structure  declared their unwavering support for the PDP  candidate, describing him as the best alternative among the other candidates.

The delegation was led by Hon. Malachi Karfe Kanadi, the State Coordinator of the Bayero Political Structure, alongside Hon. Umaru Bajam Bayero and other prominent leaders from the 11 LGAs.

They reaffirmed their commitment to the PDP and pledged to work tirelessly to ensure Ali Pantami’s victory in the 2027 governorship election.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the leaders stated that although they had remained loyal to Bayero Usman Nafada throughout their political journey, they would not follow him to the APC, more so, he did not consult nor sought their opinion before he publicly announced his exit from the party.

They emphasized that their loyalty remains with the PDP and that they are fully committed to supporting Ali Pantami’s candidacy.

The gubernatorial candidate, Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami warmly received the delegation in the company of Hon. Jalo Ahmed Ganga, PDP North East Zonal Auditor, who represented the party at the meeting; Dr. Abubakar Saidu Yagi, former Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe (FTHG); Hon. Usman Gurama, former Secretary of the Gombe State Pilgrims Board; and Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Walama.

Ali Pantami thanked the delegation for their confidence and support, assuring them that they would be carried along throughout the journey ahead.

He pledged to work closely with them to strengthen the PDP and expressed confidence that, through unity and commitment, the party would secure victory in the 2027 Gombe State governorship election, In Sha Allah, as contained in a statement signed by the Gombe State PDP Media Team.
