Bauchi State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) RS12.1, has confirmed the death of Seven people while Five others were variously injured in a multiple fatal road traffic crash (RTC) that occurred on Saturday.
The crash was a tragedy for the people of Misau LGA of Bauchi State, as all the Seven people killed in the multiple fatal auto crash were from the area.
The victims were identified as Garba Babaji, Alkali Galadima, Aliyu Samanja, Abba Abbo, Amadu Guruza, Rabiu Baura and Ibrahim Gucho Officer.
While giving an update report
of the Road traffic crash (RTC), RS12.1 Bauchi Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed that the crash occurred on Saturday, 11/07/2026 at 1205hrs, reported at 1207hrs while FRSC personnel arrived at 1222hrs, taking them 15 minutes.
The crash occurred at Kajutu village along the Bauchi -Maiduguri Federal highway involving a Galaxy Sharon mini bus with registration number KRF 198XA used for Commercial service in the fleet operation of NURTW driven by Musa A Musa.
The second vehicle is Man Diexel, tipper with no registration number, used for commercial purchase of carrying sand.
According to FRSC findings, the road traffic crash was caused by sign light violation (SLV) and dangerous drivering (DGD) on a paved rough driven road.
The number of people involved was 12 (10 Male Adults, 1 Female Adult and 1 Male Child) out of who
5 (3 Male Adults, 1 Female Adult and 1 Male Child) were variously injured while 7 Male Adults were killed.
Items recovered from the victims inuded 6 Android Phones, 5 keylad phones, N34,250 cash, 3 caps, 1 traveling bag and 1 wallet.
The action taken by the FRSC personnel was that the injured victims and dead bodies were taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, for medical attention and confirmation of deaths in an operation led by SMI M Mustapha.
Meanwhile, in a condolence message posted on his Facebook page, Sen Isah Hamman Misau wrote, “With deep sorrow and grief, I, Distinguished Sen. Isah Hamma Misau extends my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident that occurred at the Bauchi junction.”
He wrote that, “Reports indicate that the deceased were indigenes of Misau Local Government Area, and their number has reached six.”
According to him, “This tragic incident has deeply shaken all of us. The loss of lives is a painful one, especially when the victims are young people and family providers whose contributions are greatly needed by the community.”
“We pray that Almighty Allah forgives them all, fills their graves with His mercy, and grants them Aljannatul Firdaus as their final abode. May Allah grant their families, loved ones, and the entire people of Misau the strength and patience to bear this great loss,” he further wrote.
Isah Hamman Misau added, “At this moment of grief, we call on the community to continue praying for the deceased and to observe road safety regulations in order to help prevent the occurrence of such tragic accidents in the future.”
“May Allah have mercy on those who have passed away and grant those left behind the patience to endure this great loss. Amen. Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return,” he concluded.

The remains of the dead were buried at the Bauchi Muslim cemetery after a funeral prayers at the Gwallaga Jummaat Mosque on Saturday.
