The Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, has directed and ensured the prompt payment of March salaries to all civil servants across the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Niger State Commissioner Ministry of Information and Orientation Mr Obed Nana Nuhu in Minna.
He stated, “this proactive measure, fully implemented as of today, 19th March 2026, is aimed at enabling workers to adequately prepare for and celebrate the forthcoming Sallah festivities without financial difficulty”.
“This action underscores the administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of its workforce and its deep respect for the timely payment of salaries as a fundamental right of workers.
The statement further reflects a people-oriented leadership approach that prioritizes the well-being and dignity of citizens, especially during significant religious observances.
The Governor extends its warm felicitations to all Muslim faithful and the entire people of Niger State on the occasion of Sallah.
Citizens are encouraged to uphold the values of unity, compassion, and generosity that define the season, while fostering peaceful coexistence across communities.
