Delight College of Health Sciences and Technology, Minna, Niger State, has secured full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as part of efforts to enhance effective teaching and learning in the health sciences.

The institution offers National Diploma programmes in Medical Laboratory Technology, Community Health Technology and Public Health Technology, and it’s fully recognised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

With this achievement, the college becomes the second health tertiary institution in Niger State to attain full NBTE accreditation alongside approval from relevant professional regulatory bodies.

Speaking on the development, the Executive Director and Founder of the college, Ambassador Christopher Ezekiel Maigida, said the accreditation was granted after the institution met all conditions and standards prescribed by the NBTE, which certifies institutions to offer programmes in line with established health and academic requirements.

Ambassador Maigida noted that the milestone positions the college to compete favourably with similar institutions globally. He urged students to remain focused and committed to their studies in order to attain global recognition and acceptance in their professional practice after graduation.

He further disclosed that the college, now operating from its permanent site, has concluded plans to introduce additional programmes in the near future. According to him, the institution remains resolute in its commitment to academic excellence and the production of graduates capable of competing internationally.

The Executive Director also confirmed that the college is listed on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board portal, enabling prospective applicants to access verified admission information in line with current admission processes.

Ambassador Maigida encouraged admitted students to work diligently towards academic excellence and contribute meaningfully to the health sector in service to humanity. He also called on parents and stakeholders in the health sector to continue prioritising the education and professional development of their wards.
