In demonstration of its commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity, the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) has Wednesday, formally presented a letter of appointment to Malama Halima Muhammad Sani, a member of the Physically Challenged Association.
The presentation ceremony shows the organisation’s resolve to uphold promises made and to promote meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in institutional and developmental processes.
Malama Halima Sani’s appointment as an Administrative Staff member represents not merely an employment opportunity, but a reaffirmation of the organisation’s belief in ability, competence, and human potential beyond physical limitations.
The appointment letter was formally presented by the Chief Coordinating Officer, Alhaji Sha’abdin Danladi, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Bala Wunti.
In his remarks, Malam Sha’abdin Danladi emphasized that the decision reflects BWSO’s enduring conviction that disability does not equate to inability.
He encouraged the appointee to approach her responsibilities with dedication and professionalism, noting that her success would further validate the importance of inclusive policies and equal access to opportunities.
He further reiterated the organisation’s sustained commitment to fostering inclusive governance and encouraging the active involvement of disadvantaged and underrepresented groups in decision-making and development initiatives.
In her response, Malama Halima Sani expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Bala Wunti and the leadership of BWSO for honouring their commitment.
She pledged to discharge her duties with diligence, integrity, and loyalty, while contributing meaningfully to the advancement of the organisation’s vision and objectives.
According to a statement signed by Abubakar Al-Sadique, the Chief Communication Officer of BWSO, the newly appointed staff member also called on other persons living with disabilities to remain hopeful and resilient, while supporting initiatives and leadership efforts aimed at improving their welfare and promoting sustainable development within the state.
